Thanks (again) to our friend Trish for recommending this recipe. The key is the slightly spicy Fresno Chili Simple Syrup, which we make at home for purposes of this cocktail.

Directions

Fresno Chili Simple Syrup: Put a small pot on the burner and turn heat to medium

Add water, and sugar to a small pot and stir until the sugar is incorporated

Add chilis and boil (medium) until the syrup begins to slightly thicken - approximately 15 mins

Cocktail: Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice

Shake vigorously

Strain into a coupe style glass

Garnish - Luxardo cherry (paid link)
