Focaccia
Our family is just getting started baking bread, and we figured we'd start with something easy like Focaccia. We've gone through several recipes and have landed on this one by Anne Burrell from the Food Network. I highly recommend you watch the video of Anne making the recipe to get a good understanding of just how much olive oil to use (I know it seems crazy, but trust her) and what she means by "make finger holes" in the dough.

Breakfast Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

Corn Bread
As part of our Cajun Thanksgiving celebration in 2016 we looked for a cornbread recipe that would stand up to the rest of the meal. We ended up using a combination recipe and as a result I am going to claim this one as my own unique recipe.

Almond Cake
Simple, yet delicious is the best way to describe this amazingly moist and flavorful cake. If friends are coming over for dinner, you can rest assured that Almond Cake is on the menu. On a recent visit, our friend Gary said to me "I don't know how you do it, if this was in my house, I'd eat it for breakfast". To which I replied "yeah, what's wrong with that?" One 9-inch or 10-inch (23-25 cm) cake. This cake is best made in the food processor. If using a stand mixture, use the paddle attachment and let the mixer run until the almond paste is finely broken up.
