Thanks (again) to our friend Trish for recommending this recipe. The key is the slightly spicy Fresno Chili Simple Syrup, which we make at home for purposes of this cocktail.

The Red Wedding

Thanks to our friend Trish for recommending this recipe. The recipe, as it turns out was inspired by the Game of Thrones (GoT) episode by the same name. The key to flavor is the ice cubes. The taste of the cocktail changes dramatically over time as the ice cubes melt. It's very boozy in the beginning and then after the flavored ice cubes melt, it becomes less boozy and more flavorful.

Fall Bourbon Cocktail

Those of you who know me, know that I am NOT a bourbon drinker, or a scotch drinker. Everything in that genre of spirits is much more along Sonia's taste, not mine. One of the few exceptions to that rule is Sonia's Fall Bourbon Cocktail. It's one of the few bourbon based drinks that I will raise my hand for when she is making them.
